Bobi Step App Review: Is It Actually Legit? (REAL Look)

Updated: Sep 17

Hey everyone, Vince here, and welcome to my Bobi Step review. Today, I'm diving deep into this new money-making app that promises thousands of dollars just for walking. Let's see if it lives up to the hype or if it's just another one of those apps flooding the Google Play Store. So, let's kick this off!

Early Access Warnings

First things first, you’ll notice that Bobi Step is in Early Access. Why does this matter? Well, only the developer can actually see the ratings, which means you can’t rely on public reviews to decide whether it’s worth your time. With over 500,000 downloads, this app has been spamming my phone a lot lately, and I'm guessing many of you have seen similar apps that promise ridiculous amounts of money just for walking.

First Impressions of Bobi Step

So, this is Bobi Step. The layout is simple enough. You have a little character, Bobi, in the middle of the screen. To be honest, I have no idea why he’s there, but what I do know is that he’s causing my phone to lag. Below Bobi, you’ll find your step goal, and as of now, I’ve logged about 1,600 steps.

As you scroll down, you’ll notice various tasks and rewards. You can earn coins by watching ads, walking a certain number of steps, inviting friends, or even watching five-minute videos—which, oddly enough, seem to be stolen content from YouTube. Yep, that's definitely a red flag.

Currencies and Cash Out System

In the top left corner of the screen, you'll see the three main currencies of the app: coins, steps, and an Amazon gift card that’s worth, apparently, $200.

Now, let me show you the cash out system, which is where things get interesting—and not in a good way. The app offers insane payouts for walking specific amounts of steps.

For instance:

  • $200 for 20,000 steps

  • $500 for 30,000 steps

  • $800 for 40,000 steps

  • $1,000 for 50,000 steps

Here’s the kicker: why would anyone opt for the $200 cash out when walking just a few thousand more steps supposedly earns you $1,000? It just doesn’t make sense.

The Daily Login Trap

Moving over to the gift card section, things get even funnier. If I log in seven days in a row, I’ll apparently earn $200 PayPal money. After three more days, that goes up to $500, and after two more days, it jumps to $800! Why would anyone even bother walking? The app’s daily login system practically negates its entire walking concept.

The Delivery System and Ads

Next up is the delivery system, which I find incredibly misleading. You have to watch ads to move a progress bar closer to an Amazon gift card. The truck on the screen inches forward by a tiny percentage with each ad you watch. Honestly, the whole thing feels like a scheme to get you to watch more ads.

Oh, and the piggy bank system? More of the same. Tasks that generate coins, giving the illusion of progress, but everything is tied to watching yet another ad. And every time you try to skip or exit? Yep, more ads.

A Developer's Ad Farm

Let me be blunt here: this app is a complete ad farm. The developer is clearly trying to squeeze as much ad revenue out of you as possible while dangling the illusion of payouts. I’ve reviewed hundreds of money-making apps over the last two years, and this is one of the worst offenders.

That being said, I haven’t cashed out yet, so I won’t call it a scam outright. But in my professional opinion, Bobi Step is definitely not worth your time.
